Der Krokus spriesst wieder: «Hoodoo» heisst das grosse Comeback-Werk der Rock-Legenden!

Krokus haben ihr mit Spannung erwartetes Comeback-Album über zwei Jahre lang herangezüchtet. Doch jetzt herrscht endlich Klarheit – die dezent ergrauten Rock-Eminenzen aus Solothurn lüften den Schleier!

«Hoodoo» heisst das Album, mit dem Chris von Rohr, Marc Storace, Fernando von Arb, Mark Kohler und Freddy Steady es noch mal krachen lassen. Am 26. Februar 2010 steht das Werk in den Läden.

Nur – warum mussten die Fans sich so lang gedulden, Chris? «Uns gibts in dieser Original-Formation erst seit zwei Jahren wieder und einen starken Song – ja, ein ganzes Album – kann man nicht auf die Schnelle schreiben», so der Kopf der Band selbstkritisch. Es brauche Leidenszeit, die neuen Sachen kritisch zu hinterfragen «und nur das Beste durchzulassen».

Klingen soll es wie eine Mischung aus gestern und morgen: «Es war meine Verantwortung als Produzent, die Stärken aus den Musikern herauszukitzeln und dort anzuknüpfen, wo wir mit ‹Metal-Rendez-Vous› und ‹Headhunter› stehen blieben. Back to the roots – mit dem Dampf von heute!»

Kein Wunder sind die Erwartungen hoch. Wenn im Frühling die Krokusse spriessen, werden nicht nur die Fans im Glaskasten (s. Box) wissen, was «Hoodoo» taugt. «Es gibt eine Ladung schnörkellosen Rock. Anschnallen und abrocken!», beschreibt es Gitarrist Von Arb. «Ein Original-Krokus-Album, das sich gewaschen hat», sagt Sänger Storace. Und von Rohr sagt: «Bei uns dürfen auf der Suche nach Qualität auch mal die Fetzen fliegen. Wir sind keine Kuschelrocker, dafür ehrlich. Die Quälerei hat sich gelohnt!»

Mit Drummer Freddy Steady ist wieder alles im Reinen, und die drei versprechen: «2010 wird ein Krokus-Jahr – wir werden alle verhexen!

In September 1970, Yes were invited by Belgian Television to make a film featuring selections from their current album 'Time And A Word' that had been released in July. As Steve Howe had just joined the band he had to mime his guitar to the tracks already recorded by Peter Banks. Interspersed with off the wall interludes by various members of the band, the filming was presented as a television special between September the 1st and 4th before they played the Huy Festival in Belgium on the 5th of September.
