Sind aber nur Songs von den letzten beiden CDs:

Zu den fehlenden Videoclips möchte ich noch folgendes anmerken:

Dass the riddle fehlt, ist m.E. ein unverzeihlicher Fauxpas, der eigentlich gar nicht passieren durfte!!
Nach wouldn't it be good ist dieser Song immerhin die zweiterfolgreichste
Nik Single! Ich frag mich wirklich, was UNIVERSAL da geritten hat, auf dieses Verkaufsargument zu verzichten...

Bei one step ahead kann ich die Nichtberücksichtigung eigentlich aufgrund der relativen Erfolglosigkeit dieses Songs nachvollziehen aber andererseits nicht verstehen, dass man im gleichen Augenblick entscheidet, die im Prinzip ebenso gefloppten Songs radio musicola, nobody knows und elisabeth's eyes mit auf die DVD zu packen!!
Platz genug wäre auf der DVD ja noch gewesen...

Es fehlen übrigens noch weitere Clips, dafür gibt es aber nachvollziehbare Gründe:

- es wurde kein Clip produziert.

- Die Veröffentlichungsrechte liegen bei Virgin Records.

love and money (1993; mit Leslie Mandoki u.a.)
- es wurde (vermutlich) kein Clip produziert.
- Und falls doch, liegen die Veröffentlichungsrechte bei BMG.

on and on (1997; mit Leslie Mandoki u.a.)
- es wurde (vermutlich) kein Clip produziert.

somebody loves you (1999)
- Die Veröffentlichungsrechte liegen bei eagle records/Edel.

Ich bin schon sehr gespannt, wie es mit der Bild/Ton Qualität der DVD aussieht.
Ebenso hoffe ich, dass bei i won't let the sun go down on me (mittelalterlicher Hintergrund) und human racing (ein paar alte Asiaten spielen ein Brettspiel) die IMHO sehr gelungenen Promo-Clips genommen wurden, und nicht wie bei der alten VHS "single pictures", Live-Versionen...

Und was the riddle betrifft, lautet mein letzter Hoffnungsschimmer:

Sara Nardo leitete eine email von Mickey Modern an die Mailinglist weiter:

Anyway I received the following from Modernwood, I think it will take away all the doubts..

Positive news. Had a great meeting with Nik/Universal Records this week, and the first promotion meeting is set for two weeks time. Press coming on board next week. Nik has one more track to record probably with Imogen Heap producing!!!!! Nik loves her production technique. Imogen's band Frou Frou have sold 110,000 albums in the USA with absolutely NO promotion. She has tracks in 'Garden State' (trendy film)and O.C.(TV series) and Six Feet Under(TV series)and kids are discovering her themselves through the films etc. The site gets 15,000 hits a week. Have a look at the FF site and www.imogenheap.co.uk


This April looks likely release time for the new Nik album.

We may be out touring this year too.

The women running the www.supperwiththestars.co.uk site is 25 year old Caroline Polledri, a so called journalist, her e-mail address is supperwiththestars@hotmail.co.uk She has taken Nik off the site now, because I complained so much, but she will not give me the name of the 'agent' who gave her his permission to use Nik's name and biog who also claimed to be Nik's 'manager'......??? I think she ought to give me the name so I can stop him/her from causing any more bad publicity for Nik.
She also runs another stupid money making site www.doggydating.co.uk which is a bizzare affair to do with dog people dating?

Yeah!!!!

Nun kann ich es einigermaßen verschmerzen, dass der one step ahead Videoclip auf der "best of" DVD fehlt!

Ich hab' mir die original Promo VHS-Cassette nämlich soeben für umgerechnet ca. 22 Euro plus Versand bei ebay geschossen!

BREAKING NEWS!!!!!

Hier eine brandheisse Mail von Nik's Manager Mickey Modern an Sara Nardo,
die in engem e-mail Kontakt mit Mickey steht, mit der Bitte die folgenden Neuigkeiten an die Fans weiterzugeben:

The DVD is a totally separate part of Universal. Ask fans to wait for the
Album, because there is an idea to give free DVD's away with the first 5000
or so, and we are thinking of placing some video footage on the actual
album.

No plans for touring yet, but people are ringing asking if Nik wants to,
which is a good sign. There is one gig in Berlin on the 11th of June, it's a
Here and Now type show, with Kim Wilde and a few others. Definately booked.

Starting to get exciting.

Things are going very well, the album is being cut this week, Imogen Heap is
producing Nik's new song . The track has turned out brilliantly, and should
be Nik's first single. It's called 'What It Is'

The album is now scheduled for April 4th 2005.
