Hallo,
suche ein recht cooles Lied mit einer Textpassage "... not talking about love, just talking about happiness ..." oder so ähnlich. Sänger ist ein Mann. Ich glaube auch viel percussions. Müsste etwa 1983 sein. Eigenrecherche im Netz mit "love and happiness" blieb erfolglos.
Wer kann helfen?

Bei "Love and Hapiness" dachte ich zunächst an Daryl Pandy. Habe mich aber geirrt. Er hat ein Lied mit dem Titel "Sunshine and Hapiness" gesungen. Bei der Internetsuche bin ich dann noch über Cyclone "LOVE & HAPINESS" gestolpert. Dazu kann ich aber nichts sagen. Helfen Dir diese Infos weiter?

Es gibt von John Mellencamp einen Song namens "Love and Happiness" Zeitraum dürfte hinkommen.
Zudem einen Song von Al Green

Also,
danke für die Infos. John Mellencamp, Al Green und Living Colour sind es nicht. Zu Cyclone habe ich noch keine Hörprobe im Netz gefunden - vielleicht hat jemand dazu eine Idee.
Der Song geht eher in Richtung Disco/ House und ist etwa aus 1983/84 oder früher.

Alles andere als Disco / House ... kennst Du vielleicht einen ähnlichen Track ... in den Songtextsuchmaschinen sind ja leider nur wenige Discotracks zu finden, da scheint man nicht
weiterzukommen.
Habe jetzt meine gesammelten Werke an Songtexten auch durch ... leider nix

P.I.L. ist es leider nicht. Völlig anderer Stil, allerdings aus derselben Zeit.

keiner ne Idee ... Doni ... ging der Song eher in Richtung Funk, so BB & Band, Kool & The Gang , Discofunk, wie Patrick Cowley, Sylvester ... oder vielleicht sogar in Richtung Italodisco ... irgendwo fehlt ne Info, die uns auf die Spur bringt

Ich hätte ja noch 'ne Idee:
Mal angenommen das Wort "Happiness" kommt im Titel vor, und die Jahresangabe ist in etwa richtig. Dann könnte es
Cuba Gooding - Happiness Is Just Around The Bend (1983) sein.

Leider geht aus der Hörprobe die im Eingangsposting beschriebene Textpassage nicht hervor. Vielleicht ist es ja trotzdem richtig.
