Also das Konzert gestern Abend in Hamburg war einfach nur genial. Obwohl Joey Tempest den Text teilweise ablesen musste (wieso, weshalb,warum?). Das meiste feedback kam natürlich bei den "alten" Krachern wie Superstitious, Carrie etc., aber auch die neuen Songs bekamen viel Beifall. Mir gefallen Europe 2007 deutlich besser als früher.
Und dem brachialen Sound (geil) kann ich nur zustimmen!

Ich hör's gerade zum ersten Mal komplett. Ich tue mich noch schwer mit einer Beurteilung. Irgendwie nicht Fisch und nicht Fleisch. Sind ein paar richtig gute Refrains dabei, als Gesamtsong bleibt halt doch irgendwie nur "Last look at Eden" übrig - leider. Gut, die Balade "In my time" vielleicht noch.

Allerdings ist es in meinen Augen nicht so düster und pseudo-agressiv geworden, wie die beiden letzten Outputs, was man ja nach dem Tod von John Norums Frau eigentlich befürchten musste.

Die größte skandinavische Rock Band Europe haben dieses einmalige Konzert im legendären Nalen Rock Club in Stockholm im Januar 2008 aufgenommen. Zusammen mit einem bekannten Streicher Quartett spielten Europe ein halb akkustisches Live Set.
Hits wie "The Final Countdown", "Carrie" oder "Rock The Night" sind in dieser Version noch nie dagewesen und zeigen die Qualitäten der Band nach wie vor eindrucksvoll.
Das Band Line Up bestand damals wie heute aus Joey Tempest, John Norum, Mic Michaeli, Ian Haugland und John Leven. Sie waren damals alle Anfang 20 und haben mit dem Album und der Tour "The Final Countdown" ihren Durchbruch gefeiert.
