Es gibt von dem Album auch eine Ausgabe mit einem Bonus-Track ("Just Around the Corner [Live Acoustic]"), jedenfalls ist das hier (http://www.musicmeter.nl/album/51502) angegeben.

Momentan ist es aber anscheinend schierig, die CD überhaupt zu erwischen. Bei amazon.de nennt man eine Lieferzeit von 4 bis 6 Wochen und bei fnac.fr zahlt man bei einer Einzel-CD relativ viel Porto.

Wer also noch weitere Bezugsquellen kennt oder sich zur Bestellung aufrafft, darf sich gern hier oder per PM melden.

Seit Samstag habe ich das neue Album dreimal angehört und meine Begeisterung steigt bei jedem weiteren Hören.

Der Beginn des ersten Stücks „Superhuman“ ist so, wie ich die Rückkehr von Cock Robin erwartet hatte. Sanftes Intro, dann die „leidende“ Stimme von Peter Kingsberry, kurzer Break und Anna LaCazio tritt wieder ans Licht. Genial!

Als nächstes folgt „Don’t want to save the World“, eine typische und m.E. kraftvolle Single(?).

Ein Song, der mir schon beim ersten Hören aufgefallen ist, heißt „Bo“ und ist ein Solo von Anna LaCazio. An sich hat der Song nichts Besonderes, sticht jedoch aus dem Album hervor, da er so untypisch für Cock Robin ist.

Weitere Songs, die mir bislang schon gefallen sind: The Valley Below; Fair enough und Me and my Shaman.

Leider haben Cock Robin die Synthies fast vollständig entsorgt und sind auf Gitarren umgestiegen. Nun ja, man kann nicht alles haben.

Als Dritter im Bunde ist übrigens Clive Wright wieder dabei, wie schon beim ersten Album (und im Hintergrund bei Nummer zwei).

Frage: Die Produktionsnotizen legen nahe, dass die einzelnen Spuren (u.a. die beiden Vocals) an getrennten Orten aufgenommen worden sind. Kann es sein, dass sich Anna und Peter folglich gar nicht persönlich im Studio getroffen haben?

Mit Cock Robin ist es echt komisch... Obwohl ihre Musik meinen Geschmack nur sehr bedingt traf und trifft (außer „Thought you were on my side“ gefällt mir keine ihrer Singles so richtig gut und eine CD würde ich mir nicht von ihnen kaufen) gibt es kaum eine andere Band, die mich beim Hören so in die 80er zurückversetzt. Ich brauch sie bloß aus irgendeinem Kaufhaus-Lautsprecher dudeln zu hören, schon überkommt mich ein kurzer Nostalgie-Schub und irgendwelche Erinnerungs-Fetzen kommen hoch...
