Johnny und Mary gehört auch zu meinen Lieblingsliedern und R. Palmer war wirklich einzigartig, sein Auftreten, sein Stil, seine Musik, seine Vielfältigkeit, seine Videos, wirklich superschade!

Yep, genau so war es. Die Duanies haben sich zwischenzeitlich für Seitenprojekte geteilt und habe Power Station bzw. Arcadia gegründet. Robert Palmer hat bei Power Station mitgemacht.

Ein sehr schönes Beispiel, dass Coverversionen auch gelungen sein können, ist für mich Get it on von Power Station.

P.S Power Station hatten 1998 ein Comeback.
Jedenfalls gaben sie bei VH-1 UK ein Concert.

Mein Lieblingsstück von Robert Palmer ist "Best of both worlds" vom Album "Double Fun" (1978).
"Children Of The Eighties" bringt am Wochenende ein Special über RP.

Kennt eigentlich jemand das neue Album von R.Palmer "DRIVE"? Ist glaub ich im Mai erschienen, bei uns jedoch erst ab Oktober erhältlich?!?!

...soweit ich weiß kam auch für John Taylor ein anderer Bassist ans Werk, weiß allerdings nicht mehr wer das war!
